Lookin for some good reloading books.

Re: Lookin for some good reloading books.

#1... The latest version of the Lyman's Centerfire Handloading Manual. It has 2 or 3 times the actual usable material for the beginner. They aren't trying to sell you powder or bullets. As he gets more experienced he may want to buy others to get that companies specific data.

Tell him to read all the non-data specific chapters. Then read the safety chapters again. There is always time to look up a lod for X caliber rounds. But only one time making a mistake can be disastrous.

Re: Lookin for some good reloading books.

The Lyman's talks about basic set up information and that sort of thing. Do you have an alternative use in mind besides it's intended purpose?

Just so that the guy is able to familiarize himself with reloading practices and the various types of equipment so he knows what to get right off.

1+ on the Lyman manual. I had the older version, but read it thoroughly before I started tinkering with it.
