looking at a Savage 17 HMR

Ok so I am looking at a Savage 17 HMR to play with. Savage has a ton of choices, can anyone tell me the differance between the Mark II FV and the 93R17TR. There is an obvious price differance, is the action and/or barrel different or just the stock?

I am looking for something as accurate as possible with out spending to much, my local club ahas a 150yrd rimfire egg shoot I would like to try.

the mkii is the 22lr and 17hm2 and the 93 series is the 17hmr and 22wmr.
the 17hmr is awesome at 150yds. I have shot bottle caps and quarters at that range with my btvs in 17hmr. Scope was a vortex viper 6.5-20x44.

Thanks I forgot they even made the HM2. Looks like it's gonna me a model 93, am I better off buting an aftermarket stock or just get a stock I like from Savege?

I just bought a left hand 93 with the heavy barrel in 17HMR a couple of weeks ago. I can't tell you how impressed I am with the rifle. It aint gonna win any beauty contests but the thing will shoot!

You wont be disappointed !

150 yrd egg shoot will be no problem. On a breezy day it gets pushed around a bit I'd say 5mph wind or less it should be right on. I've killed ground hogs out to180yrds no problem.
