CDNNSPORTS is having a blow out sale on Weatherby Vanguard Modular rifle in cal 223 Remington. The VLR223RR20 has a heavy contour #3 barrel measuring .740 at the crowned recess muzzle. It has an MDT LSS XL stock with luth-ar mba 1 and a thingy on the other end to mount my harris bipod. I believe the 223 Remington shines with a 22 inch bbl and should get me to 600 yds with a new Bushnell Engage 6x18x44 scope. I especially like the luth-ar MBA1 because it is mounted on a standard rifle buffer tube and does not wiggle like the mba-3. I know its made in Japan by Howa and they have similar models. That being said, with great rationale I could be swayed in my thinking. So, please fire away with your knowledge and first hand experience.
