Looking for a Stock

My brother is looking for a good quality stock for a Rem 700 SPS Tactical and he wants one that either is or looks wood grain. Something that looks like this

We looked and could not find anything but thought we would ask here before giving up.

Try a Boyds Stock

Any Remington 700 short action, Varmit barrel contour, BDL floorplate stock will work. Boyd's and Richard's Microfit Gunstocks are a couple. The Boyd's are affordable and nice.

The Remington website picture looks like the Boyds Ross FT. You can check with Boyds on whether it can take a varmint contour barrel.

Here's one on eBay that can take a varmint barrel.

Take a peek at Bill Shehane's stocks on Scopeusout.com. I have used several of his varmint and bench stocks and enjoyed the feel of wood again. I can't prove it, but to me the recoil from a wood stock wheighing the same or less than a McMillan or Manners stock is less sharp. conversely, don't anyone try to take my Manners T5-A from me.
