looking for a tripod option strictly for rifle cleaning

Hey guys,

Does anyone know of a good tripod option specifically for rifle cleaning? I won't be taking this tripod out to the field at all. It will be staying in my gun room. I just like to use tripods more for cleaning rifles because of the height I can have the rifle at, and because I can tilt the rifle so the barrel is lower than the stock. That said, I don't need an extremely light option, or anything like that. I would like a secure option though. Any ideas on what to buy that won't break the bank?

Any ideas? Again, weight doesnt really matter, as I wont move this around, but stability and the ability to hold a rifle steady will.

So pig and pig saddle? Do I need a ball head as well if I want to be able to tilt the rifle?

That combo should come with a ball head. Truthfully, unless you need a fairly steep down angle, you could just put the PIG saddle on any cheap tripod (weigh down the legs) with great results for a lot less $$$. Just pick the rear of the rifle up and lock down in that position with the saddle clamp

Resale on the Shadowtech should be easy and allows for field use as well if you ever want to try it.
