Looking for advice on gear

Trying to put together a list of gear that I am going to want as I make my foray into long range shooting.

So far my list is pretty concise:

shooting mat
shooting bags
data book
spotting scope
range finder
Kestrel or similar device
ballistics program
chrono

What else do you suggest? And/or what do you feel is not needed from my list?

Also, any particular brand/model suggestions are welcome.

Re: Looking for advice on gear

I'd put getting a chronograph ahead of getting most of the other things, but that's just me. A chronograph, even a cheap one, will give you a better idea of what your actual muzzle velocity is in comparison to just guessing or going by what the box says. This will only make your ballistic calculations more accurate, such as when using JBM Ballistics, which will mean fewer rounds wasted getting on target because you thought your MV was X when it was actually Y. Now you don't have to jump for a high end Oehler but the way I see it the cost of a pretty good chrono is about the same as a mediocre spotting scope.
