Im finally going to start getting accustomed to my 700. Now here is the question/delimma. This is my first long range gun. I know nothing about it. So the next few outings are going to be purely learning and getting to know the gun.
We know the FGMM 168 ( under 600 yrds i think ) and 175 ( 600 and up ) is pretty damn good for factory ammo and for the average joe. But at 17-18 a box, it can be pricey to punch holes. Now dont get me wrong, I'd like to have the equipment as accurate as it can be, and have human error only. But is it worth shooting that ammo for learning and getting used to the rifle?
IS there an alternative ammo that is pretty good here? http://palmettostatearmory.com/308-762-ammo.php
Thanks!
