Rifle Scopes Looking for advise on a scope...

Okay, here's my situation... I know of a few good brands of scopes in my price range (I'd like to keep it under $1500), but I'm totally undecided on which brand to go with. Also, I'm afraid I may be missing out on a lesser known brand that offers more for less or more for the same. Anyhow, just as a bit of a open survey, I'd really appreciate it if people would list all of the brands they would be happy with. Will be mounted on an AR Platform .308.

I'm looking for a variable power scope...
-2.5x-5x on the low side, 10x-15x on the high side.
-40mm or 50mm objective
-30mm, 34mm or 35mm tube
-TMR or similar tactical style reticule (no mill-dots for me)
-Wouldn't mind mil/mil, but I currently use moa/mil
-Would like FFP, but know that it's likely out of my budget and will settle with SFP

If you know of a brand that makes a scope similar to what I stated in my price range, please put it out there. If you have any specific suggestions on models, I'd be open to checking them out. This will all aid me greatly in picking a scope for the Larue OSR I ordered last week!

i know a couple people who are real happy with the IOR 3-18... priced around $1500.

i havent talked to Vernon in a while but he (Flea) helped design it. he's a helluva shooter.

Probably your best bet would be the new FFP 3x-9x.Edited:SWFA Super Sniper 3-9.

Or the Falcon 4-14 scope.

Next step up is the big $$$.

If $1500 is your max, look for a used 3-15x NXS. Or you could save up a little more and step up to a 3.2-17x USO.

There's a lot of good scopes for $1500, but there is a little bit of a gap there where you're almost up to the high dollar players. You might find yourself thinking that if you've saved up $1500, you can save a few hundred more to get exactly what you want.

If you want to spend down, I'd suggest a Sightron, it's a quality budget scope, but you'll only have a mil-dot reticle option.

I'm sure there's more out there, but these are what come to mind now.
