I am in the process of deciding on a new mount to put an S&B scope on one of the AI AXMC rifles.
I plan to be shooting from 100 yards with it, to around 2000 yards. (Rifle comes with a 30moa rail).

Originally I had been looking at the standard suggestion of the Sphur mounts, however when talking with the guys at EuroOptic, they suggested I look at the ERA-TAC mounts and mentioned that they had had a lot of good success / satisfaction with them.

In doing some research I noticed they had one that looked quite interesting, it adjusts from 0MOA to 70MOA

This seems like it would be ideal in making it easy to get from a 100 yard zero to 2000 yard targets without having to worry about maxing out the scope.
I was thinking about getting the one with the quick release levers.

There was an older thread from the beginning of the year about some OEM branded versions of it.

I wanted to check if anyone has tried the original ones out long term and how well they hold a perfect zero for doing 1000+ yard shots without having to re-adjust the scope after putting it on and off the rifle, or moving up and down the elevation adjustment?

Also are heavy long scopes held rock steady as the elevation range is moved up?

How many mils will it take to get to 2k yards with your cartridge of choice?

I have to get some firm data on the actual speed from the barrel once I take it out, but by doing rough calculations worst case would be needing about 30 mils from what I can tell.

It would be nice to have a bit extra room for seeing what other cartridges could do when pushed well into subsonic range.

You may need the 1.65" mount to get the full use of the adjustable inclination on a AXMC. I did but was mounting a TT with Tenabrex caps.

Thanks for the tip, I'll need to go measure it out a bit.

I'm running mine without the top rail on the hand guard so I'm assuming I should be fine with the lower profile as I have about half an inch more room for the objective lens than normal.

I took off the top rail and most of the other rail pieces & found it made the AXMC much easier to hold.

I have had (and heard of) nothing but good things with them since we have had them - I put my money where my mouth was and went with levers on my AX even though I was kind of scared of them and they passed with flying colors.

    ERA-TAC QD Mount TEST

I'll probably be calling you guys up to order one as soon as my bank account recovers from the AXMC you just sold me.
For now I got a really good deal on someone selling the fixed version so I can test out how I like the rings and then jump into $580

Anyone have any updates on these?

Curious as to how it's working out for you if you have one. I'm considering one just because I have a bajillion Spuhr mounts. Curious if it's something that could take any abuse/dirt or is it something that needs to go on a "safe-queen" rifle?
