Looking for ELR opportunities in DFW area

Has anyone shot at Red River West? Located 23 miles northwest of Gainesville. It sits on part of the old Camp Howze Infantry Training Base.

They have a lot of restrictions and requirements.

• No .338 or .50 cal.
• Must use ammo made by (no exceptions):
  • Federal
  • Hornady
  • Lawman
  • Remington
  • Winchester
  • Black Hills
• To shoot long distance:
  • 3 hour course and vetting, $100
  • Qualify at each 100 yards to move out to the next target
  • Must have 5 consecutive cent of mass hits on each target
• To get to the range, you have to meet a staff member in Gainesville

The ammo restrictions alone mean I will never go there. That’s some stupid bs right there

Pretty stupid list of what ammunition you can use, they can go F themselves with that list.
Also no .338 is a bit dickish.

The more I read the stupid rules for other ranges, the more I am happy to make the drive out to TacPro and shoot in peace without a bunch of B.S.

Holley gun range in gatesville Texas. They get out to 1400 yards, not many rules.

No caliber restrictions so long as your being reasonable.
