Hello Gents.
I'm digging for a game cam with long battery life, able to take pics at all times, day or night. This will be used as surveillance at a 2nd home. The most important feature is clear photos from 10-30 ft and a very quiet shutter. Fairly easy to camoflauge is a plus. I don't need wireless/phone/ interweb stuff, just a solid, quiet camera w/great night vision. Simple operation and recovery of data is a plus as well.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks Fellers!

I have used a lot of the options out there in the game camera world and have come to one conclusion. Reconyx is the only way to go. I use game cameras on the job and can't afford malfunctions. I now only use the Reconyx HC600, though one of the "security" models may be more up your alley. The HC600 is a true "no glow" camera, so it will not be detected if well hidden.

With that said, for not much more money, one can piece together a truly stealth unit that is virtually undetectable in most situations that will record 24 hrs/day for a week at a time before the batteries would need charging. I have 7 of these units and the camera is about the size of a chapstick tube. Have recorded thousands of hours of human targets and have yet to have one detected.
