So I've been told that Sterling VA is not a good part of the state, yet Leesburg is good to go. How's The Ashburn area though? My wife and I are moving to VA most ricky-tick and looking for housing, came across Ashburn and there's some nice properties in there. Any info would be appreciated.

Ashburn is very stepford like. Good schools. I wouldn't discount Leesburg or Haymarket or Gainesville. Sterling is preety ghetto unless you can pay ALOT for a house in a nice neighborhood. Alot of people live in WVA and commute into Leesburg. If you have a job in the tech field, one of the best places to live in the country. Construction is starting to come back but this area seems to be pretty stable compared to other parts of the country.
