I'm in need of a neck die to accommodate my 300 win mag. Most of you know a belted mag is hard on brass and that most just neck size them. It's a bench gun but more on the tactical/hunting side because it's in a magpul hunter stock and has a 24" fluted medium contort barrel. I wanted to keep her no more the 15lbs.
Anyway it's worth while for me to put effort into precision loading since we have a 1000y range in my town. (lucky I know).
My question here is.
Will I see any noticeable difference with a universal 30cal neck bushing die like the one Hornady offers VS a caliber spicific neck bushing die?
The reason I'm interested in the universal one is because I could benefit using it with other 30cal loads 308 and 30-06. The other guns are middle of the road type rifles but I do shoot them at the long range. So I could keep using a standard neck die or maybe get a little bit more out of three more rifles with the bushing die.
Any input from someone who used both would be great. But if anyone had good or bad results with the universal die that would be great also.
