As a guy who has family in Tulelake, CA....I have to tell you that Redding is far from No Cal

Definitely not No. Cal - far from it (you have to send the action to Mississippi), but have you considered <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">Birdsong finishes</span></span>? Better corrosion resistance than other polymer coatings, applied extremely thin, (.0002-.0003"), and has excellent lubricity. Below are a couple of photos of two of my Birdsong-coated guns:

to me, if it's not in the 530, it's not northern california. everything outside of the 530 can be the bay area or southern california for all i care
but to answer the op, look up todd at phantom finishing. i think he is in walnut creek or there abouts. he does great work.
