Looking for Scope recommendations for a Savage B22 Precision for PRS and NRL 22LR style matches

Hello,

I plan to start shooting PRS matches for both 6.5CM and also 22LR. I am considering the Savage B22 Precision rifle and I would like Scope recommendations for the B22 Precision. I want a good value in the Scope and not spend too much. I want to shoot the rimfire matches to help me improve my shooting. I am running Vortex Viper PST Gen IIs in all of my high Power rifles (308 and 6.5CM). What you do think of this Vortex Scope for the B22 Precision rifle.

There are better options for not a lot more money .
midas tac used is a prime example.
Ares btr sell for 400 ish here too.
Hit the px im sure you will find something better for prs.

I had 2 a sold them both as the turrets are like twisting an eraser.
They tracked fine but i twist a lot when i shoot and rarely use holds.

I have the PST gen2 and the Diamond Back Tac FFP. The diamond back ffp is nice for the price. What I like about the DBC - Glass is perfectly usable, the recticle is pretty close the PST G2, price. What i don’t like - no zero stop, turret is something like 14 moa per rev so cant get to 200 without going over a full rev on a .22 on top of that, there are no marks to tell how many revs off of zero you have turned. Makes it real easy for me to loose track of where the scope is set. Something i dont even have to give any thought too with a zero stop. YMMV

I like to keep things uniform between my center fire and rim fire

Both have PST IIs with the same retical, only thing I did different was for my rimfire I got the 15x where as my .308 has the 25x, both have the same aadland quick throws too.

You might want to look at the Vortex Strike eagle for a .22 long range use. A couple places are selling them for $599 so it's probably in the same price range. I think EuroOptic has the 3-15 PST2's in 2D reticles for $569 so that's a great deal as well.

The reason I say that is if you don't use the zero stop (using the zero stop on the Strike Eagle takes up lots of elevation adjustment). The way you get around not having a zero stop then is to use a high enough MOA rise rail/rings that you can't go a full rev below zero. The Burris XTR Signature rings are great for this because they include various inserts that allow you to run between 5-40 MOA rise. So for example on my 10/22 I run ~40 MOA and I only have about 5 mil below zero, but around 26 mils of elevation adjustment. Depending on setup it should let you dial to over 400 yards. It's not as nice as a zero stop, but I can always quickly get back to zero. The 3-15 PST2 lists 22 mil of elevation adjustment if you get a high enough base to use it all, it should still get you to 350 yds.

Thank you. I will take a look at the Vtx Strike Eagle as well. I really like EuroOptic and I buy all of my Scopes from them.

I am now leaning towards this PST GII .... Let me know what you think

Good choice and keeps the optics the same. I would go with the 5-25 though. I would never user 3 power in NRL and occasionally would use 25x. for me about 12-16x is the sweet spot But sometimes a little more Is better.
Thank you. All of my other Viper PSTs are 5-25. I was thinking that the 5-25x50 might look too big on a rimfire but it sounds like it should be a good choice.
