What is the difference between the different types of atlas bipods? I am assuming it's the mounting style that separates the 220 dollar one from from 280 dollar one?

Is one necessarily better than the other?

Lastly, does anyone know a dealer who has good prices on the bipod plus the trg adapter? I was going to order it through midwayusa using one of their 25 dollar off coupons, but they don't carry the trg adapter.

As you mentioned the difference lies in the mounting options. They are available with No Clamp Mount, Clamp On Mount or ADM Throw Lever Mount. Throw lever and clamp on versions attach directly to picitiny rail.

I would look to Triad Tactical or Mile High Shooting for purchase. Both sell the bipod and TRG Bracket.

Uracowman,
Have you had an opportunity to shoot off of a factory TRG bipod? I just purchased a trg-22 that came with the older style wide stance bipod and have to admit that it feels great. They are expensive though.

If you are already willing to spring for the Atlas, I'd highly recommend the model with the ARMS QD mount. BTW, great bipod choice! These blow harris out of the water...
