I am looking to load for a new ar that I just recently bought. I have been running a gas piston bushmaster for some time and it shoots well. I have since upgraded to an LWRC.

I am trying to find a heavier bullet above .62 grains in weight to shoot. I also want it to be able to be fed reliably out of the magazine.

I am shooting a 1/7 twist 16 inch longer barrel with suppressor. I have the DEA model that LWRC makes with some modifications.

What are some of your load work ups. What dies are you using.

Re: looking to reload for an new ar-15

For loads, look at the Reloading Depot subcategory. I'm using 77gr Nosler CC with 24.7gr Varget with great results. Load to mag length. This is a very hot load, so take necessary precautions. I get about 2620fps out of a 16" barrel and average 5 shot groups of about .75MOA.

I started with Lee dies, but the FL sizing die kept scratching my brass, so I switched to RCBS. I really don't like the RCBS seating die, so now I'm using the RCBS FL sizing die with the Lee seating die.

Lake City Brass, 25 gr. RE15, Rem 7 1/2 primers & 69 gr SMK's. Set out to where they will work in the mags. RCBS dies full length.
