looking to update

i have a mauser argentino 1891 and i am sick of buying all my ammo online and not being able to shoot whenever i want. im looking at doing a updated sporterized set up, i was looking at ideas for making it a med-long range hunting rifle. and as i am new to distance shooting i am completely lost if anyone has any help or ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

perhaps you could get into reloading? The frustrating thing about the 91 is that it is not really a high pressure action, which limits what you can realistically do via re-barrel ect.

Howa, Savage, and Remington all make relatively inexpensive rifles in great chamberings. Perhaps catch a real good sale on something in .243, 260, 7mm-08, 308 ect.

hey thank you,not exactly what i wanted to hear but that is kind of what iv been hearing. unfortunatly the only draw back to reloading is that i have to convince my wife i need another shooting hobby
