Looks like another use of the classic 'lone hero' trope, which makes for excellent movies and stories when applied and drafted properly... Young man out to rescue the love of his life. Tagged, if it is good...
At this point of such a storyline, Sniper's Hide should take over and have the hero pick up a cutting edge bolt action precision rifle and start going Jack Hinson on motherfuckers. Along the way, our hero will be engaged in discussions of .308 AI vs. .338 Lapua for 1200+ yard targets, attempting to buy a Quigley Ford scope at a gunshop before engaging his next target, only to be clowned on by other folks in the shop, and ending up forking over $$$ for a "non-poor" optic... And of course, gets into a bar fight with a meathead who brags about 200 bow kills and 20 years of concrete work...

Who is Quigley Ford?
It's adherents are extremely passionate about it and may very well be the type who starts bar fights...
