This is a Question that I'm sure has been asked many times. But my question is this. Say your shooting at 1200 yards and your dope tells you that you need 33 moa of elevation with a given Los of Zero. With your scope doped to that your RIFLES actual Los will be let's say 8 degrees. If your rifle is pointing at an 8 degree angle but your original Los was zero , does this offset your bullets ability to stay supersonic. I know I have run many simulations and Los is a very big factor in elr.
I really hope that this isn't the dumbest thread of the day. I'm just curious as to how this all plays out on gravitational forces vs. " the bullet"

are you asking how shooting at an incline or decline affects trajectory? shooting at any angle will decrease the amount of time gravity has to affect the bullet, meaning you will need to aim lower. I won't do the math, but here's a general for instance: flat ground, shooting 1200 yards, you can dial in for 1200 and be good to go. if you were shooting 1200 yards, but 8 degrees up (or down), the distance gravity can affect the bullet is only 1100 yards, so youll need to dial in 1100 to make the shot. At very short ranges, you have to be at a pretty extreme angle for it to be noticeable. at elr, even smaller inclines matter.

Does that answer it? Apologies if I misunderstood the question.
