I use the Claymore type brake on my AR's, wanted to use on my tactical rifles but the outside diameter was too small and went with the 3 port type on those, this new brake which I think is more of a compensator is thicker so seeing if anyone has tried it yet? The claymore types reduce noise felt by those shooting next to me, not as effective as the 3 port but good enough.

That thing won't give you much in the form of (rearwards) recoil reduction. It will decrease side-blast and the added weight might lessen muzzle rise.
My take on linear comps is that they will actually increase the rearward force of the recoil by diverting all of the gasses forward (like a jet).
