What does newer version of the gen 2 mean?

Great question.
When I was looking at buying one of these scopes “used” I noticed a difference in model numbers. I was not able to find any information on the differences. Other than what the newer models were.
The newer model numbers are 42707-42710.
This is a newer scope.
