What are the lowest (quality made) 30mm Picatinny rings out there on the market these days? So far it looks like the Seekins. Anything lower? I would prefer aluminum.

Badger 30 mm Lows .823" or same as Seekins, and they have steel or alloy.

Ok those ARC's are .83" rounded up. Nice find but still hoping for something lower than the Seekins.

Seekins are the lowest I've seen, and are probably the lowest you will find - especially in aluminum. I spoke with Glen Seekins several years ago when I was researching his rings. The issue is that the amount of material between the base and the scope tube can only be reduced so much (and be so thin) before strength is compromised. I think Seekins offers the lowest ring heights in each of the diameters he makes for a reason.

How about Tps super low rings they are .820 and steel or aluminum. They are also nice.

Ok, I have come to the conclusion that .82" is the lowest one can get a nice set of 30mm Picatinny rings. And there are a few good options at this lowest possible height. Thanks guys.

I have a few different applications that require the lowest 30mm ring possible due to the additional height of the Picatinny base, height of the stock comb, and obj diameter of the scope. Nothing set in stone yet. Just looking at what is available these days and didn't want to miss something as I have been out of the loop for a while.

.25" is from rail to scope tube. The same measurement on the Seekins is about .23" so they're still lower.

If I did my math right .25inch rings are typically .84 to center. Being that half of 30mm is 15mm which equals .59. So .59+.25=.84 inches
I get the same measurement of .25" on the Leupold Mark 4 rings (medium) and the IOR(low).
I think the Seekins are going to be your best bet.

If you're looking for lower than seekins you're going to have to remove the picatinny requirement and go to something 1 piece like an alpha mount or something. I don't remember the alpha mount stack up difference.

Now there's another ring I have never seen. They look very well made/designed. But I cannot find aluminum as an option on their site, only stainless and titanium. The titanium would be very nice but the price is (obviously) getting up there. I will have to contact them.

I consider anything under 2" to be good at 200. I generally zero at 300. If I get a load to shoot 2" at 200 then I figure it is worth taking out to long range. IE 1000. Seems that that 2" group at 200 will often times make 10" or less at 1000. I don't think I can shoot any better than 5" at 1000. I try to shoot, even from the bench, in a fashion that I would in the field. No lead sled or bipod. I just don't seem to be able to shoot as well from a bipod. I shoot well from a bag under the front or stix prone or a backpack. This allows the rifle to recoil more freely. Just my style.
I recent got some from both Seekins and Vortex. Seekins were the lowest. But not by much.

Thanks, it is a S&B Klassik 3-12x42 Precision Hunter with a 3.2 mil BDC elevation turret. P3 mildot reticle. Weighs 21 oz with scope caps on. I have 2 of them on hunting rifles and like them a lot.
