Ive had a hard time finding a unimount lower than 1.3" for use with AR platforms.

Most optics objective diameter could accommodate a mount at 1.0" or lower (my 44mm obj could go as low as .95" or so), but I haven't seen anything that low offered... I do realize that once you put a cantilever offset into the design, you have to maintain a certain height just to clear the ass end of the optic, but I have no interest in shoving a BUIS under the rear of the optic.

Maybe I just haven't looked in the right places, so does anyone have a mfg for mounts lower than 1.3", especially with a cantilever?!

Unless your eyes are placed where your cheekbone is I'm not sure you or anyone could use one lower than 1.30" on an AR platform. In any event Nightforce makes this one: [h=1]X-TREME DUTY - ULTRALITE™ UNIMOUNT™ (TITANIUM/ALLOY) [/h]
A1901.125" Height - 20 MOA - 30mm

That should do it for you....

Contact Jon at Aadmount. His mounts are killer.

I believe Bob^ got me started into him. Thanks Bob!

Thanks for the thanks EDDK9, but Aadmounts wonderful cantilevered 20 MOA AR mount is 1.45" tall, which is 0.20", too much for the the OP's needs......

I figured he could possibly do something custom if he was asked to?

He custom made me a throw lever and caps, couldn’t be happier. If I needed an AR mount, he would be the first I looked at.

Badger makes one thatÂ’s .885. I had a NXS 2.5-10x32 mounted in one on an AR-15, and it provided a comfortable cheek weld for me and my needs. Of course, that was precision type shooting, not the fast heads-up close range type stuff.

Thank you all for the input. I think I’m going to go with a Badger Ord 1.3” cantilever unimount. Hopefully I’ll get a little better cheek weld than with the 1.5” mount I have now.

Found what I needed!

American Defense MFG, AD Recon SL

34mm - 1.190” height.

(That Nightforce that was SUPER low is to the bottom
of the main tube, not the center)

The nightforce is 1.12 to the center. That model can be hard to get a good cheek weld with certain butt stocks, I found the 1.375 to be ideal with an AR. Here are the bottom measurements on Midways sight for the nightforce unimounts https://ads.midwayusa.com/product/2...0-moa-elevated-with-integral-30mm-rings-matte

In 34mm, NF lowest mount in that link is 1.44” to center.

I certainly was not aware of the issues outlined in the thread you provided a link to. Won’t be purchasing those.

Edit to add: I probably should have mentioned something about a 34mm main tube in the original post...
