Hi all, long time reader but new poster, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum, but I have a vortex viper pst 2 1-6x24 ordered and would like to mount it on top along with my MRO (not rmr) on a 45 degree mount. Has anyone done this and found if the mro is too big to be a secondary optic? I’d hate to buy all the mounts and find out it’s not a good way to go and end up selling everything and buying an rmr anyway

Skip both and get a high quality LPVO like a razor gen 2 or 3.
I will take one high quality LPVO over a mid grade LPVO thats less durable and an MRO sticking out waiting to get whacked on something.
Unless its just for 3 gun or some other type of shooting sport.

It will be a coyote gun with the LPVO for longer shots with the red dot for the hard chargers also a possible shtf type gun. I got a great deal on the viper and I already had the mro. The razor is way out of my price range otherwise I would have went for it
No real need for the offset. If you plan to use it for passive Night Vision that is something else.
MRO imo is too large for a 45 offset optic. If you feel that you have to have one I'd go with a rmr. But as others have stated, better off getting a quality LPVO
