I had a bobro QD mount that worked great. Didn't really end up needing the QD part though.
New mount is a badger C1. I got the high (1.93") version. Scope height is a factor I never really considered until I started messing around with different setups. I think lower 1/3 (which is 1.7" I think) height is still the best all-around for AR15 platforms, but I personally really like the higher mounts. The bobro is lower (1.5"-ish) and it took a little practice to get used to for me personally, having mainly shot with lower 1/3rd height red dots before going to LPVOs.
For all-around type guns, I run LPVO and offset red dot. No LPVO I've looked through is as fast as a red dot at 1x. Having the best of both worlds is worth the extra weight in my mind. I used my holosun on a DD 1o'clock offset pic rail for a while, but there are lighter and better solutions.
