LR Accuracy Bipods?

Re: LR Accuracy Bipods?

Just pm'd you with Dave's email....I've misplaced his phone number. I have one of his old heavy bipods and one of the new models. They are both great and rock solid. The new version (half trunion) is very adjustable and really well built - would recommend it. At some point, I need to put some pictures/thorough review up here on SH, but needless to say, I am a fan of the product/design.

Re: LR Accuracy Bipods?

After posting this thread a few weeks back I've met with Dave and shot the F-class bipod.

Very stable, concept is good, I'm looking to see the weight come down for smaller weapon platforms. For big bore weapons I don't doubt them to be superior to just about everything on the market at this point. My biggest hangup is putting a 20oz bipod on a 6lb AR or even a 10lb bolt gun. For the same reasons that I keep a compact Nightforce on my AR15, is the same reason why I keep a lightweight bipod on there too.

On a dedicated long range heavy caliber rifle, it would certainly work well and I wouldn't have a problem putting one on my 18lb long barreled 7mm steel rifle.

Yeah, the price isn't exactly like a Harris, however, it is comparative to a Sako bipod and the Sako is an inferior design IMO.

Re: LR Accuracy Bipods?

I saw a few write ups on them and I too was interested in looking at one but it didnt seem like you could find out exactly how to contact them then

Re: LR Accuracy Bipods?

I got to shoot a comp this weekend using his F Class bipod on my 6.5 Creedmoor and I love the thing. I pulled the cert. off the table for a free bipod from him and I'm looking forward to it.

Rock solid, really well built, the weight has been reduced like I was talking about a few months ago.

Try emailing him again, right now he's a 1 man band and he's been swamped.

Re: LR Accuracy Bipods?

I have been wiating for the newest version for awhile. I have a version about a year old, which is whatI have run since he sent it to me back then.

This bipod places the pivot point higher so less roll to right, more stability and a little help when I dont do everything perfectly

Re: LR Accuracy Bipods?

I just spoke with Dave this morning. A new batch has been completed and are available. I have a current version and it's simply fantastic on a heavy rifle like a .338 ot .50. Another smaller lighter version will be out soon for the .30 cal crowd.

If you are having trouble getting to him, just let me know what you need and I'll see that you get taken care of ASAP.

Re: LR Accuracy Bipods?

I have a slightly newer version (F Class) where he has the horse shoe (as i like to call it) yoke a little wider which positions the feet further out to the side allowing the legs to go out wider and having a more stable foot print. I am awaiting the spiked F Class adapters right now. I currently have the rubber grommets and the disk. The disk are for big bores my F Class rifle doesn't have enough weight out front over the bipod to prevent it slipping when I put shoulder pressure into it. I use the rubber grommets they bit more into the ground.

Re: LR Accuracy Bipods?

I was bugging Dave about this actually since I would like to collect on the cert I got last weekend:D

He said that he's got a couple of variations that are smaller than the SC-2 and aimed at the size/weight that the "tactical precision" shooters are more accustomed to. The design is different than the Atlas, but size/weight is similar.

I got to see it yesterday before anodizing at a shoot, it was pretty sweet looking.

Re: LR Accuracy Bipods?

The info I got from Dave said that they're going to be in the same ballpark. I'd wait the couple weeks and see what he launches, if it doesn't fit what you want then move on to the Atlas. I haven't shot the new prototype yet but I got to shoot a bunch of the other models and I'm highly impressed with them. I've never seen another bipod as steady as these.

If you can afford to shoot any cheytac caliber/configuration, you can afford this bipod.
