Hi, I have an older LTR with somewhere around 500-700 rds fired. It will shoot all over the target after roughly 20 rds fired. Nice tight groups right after cleaning but by time I get to about 20 rds or so it will be all over a 9" circle. Clean the rifle and the groups tighten back up. There seems to be alot of copper fouling everytime I clean. Mostly factory remington stuff for ammo.

Any thoughts on how to fix this problem?

Re: LTR barrel problem

sounds right backwards of mine. Mine shoots tighter after about 20 rounds. My have copper fouling building up on a ruff spot in the barrel. My want to clean the barrel really good and take it and have someone bore scope it and see what they find.

I'm Sorry... But WTF. Is it typing skills? Or command of the english language? No offense, but I had to read this 3 times to even begin to understand it.

lol a little of both! hell I even had to read it twice. My typing skills are all one handed for the most part. I run Auto Cadd all day. We design metal buildings and numbers have always seemed to come easier to me.

Check out the edited version!

Re: LTR barrel problem

Do you feel a tight or ruff spot in the barrel as your cleaning it? If so mark the spot with tape on the cleaning rod. This will give you a starting point to look at with the bore scope. Also get the crown checked for flaws.
