As HDC said, HS Precision. It made of: Aluminum bedding block, fiberglass shell, and if you drill into the butt stock you find it's filled with....air....Makes a good boat paddle, though, as it does float

Re: LTR stock

HS is the current supplier but there were at least two. I have an early one and a recent one and while they are similar, they are not the same.

As for as unsolicited opinion, I have very little use for heavy rifles and find the LTR to be a great stock for a compact medium-weight (10lbs or less) rifle build. Take-off stocks can be had for reasonable money.

Re: LTR stock

You might try finding a pull off stock from a 700P. The LTR stock was what I thought I wanted, but after having handled one, I changed my mind pretty quickly. From what I understand, it's meant to lend to portability. I found it too slim, especially in the grip area. The stock off of the 700P was much better, although I'm now looking to upgrade from that too. I'm just not particularly impressed with the HS Precision stocks that I've seen. I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and try a McMillan.
