Not those kind guys....Seriously though, does anybody use Lock Ease as bolt lubricant? My fanatical benchrest shooting buddy does, and Im wondering if it is ok for my 700PSS. What other options do I have as far as lubricants go? FP-10?

Re: Lubricants...

Over the years I've used so many different kinds of oils, lubes, grease, and I don't think any really make much of a difference when you use your weapon regularly and are cleaning it (not necessarily the bore) regularly.

Re: Lubricants...

I switched to and like "Antiseize" does not seem to attract dirt and a little goes a long way.
I use alittle on the lugs, firing pin, and on the bolt where the trigger and sear connect.

Re: Lubricants...

i have some molykote products that are fantastic! Looked into repacking and selling, but i'd get shit canned, so didn't go any farther with it.

Re: Lubricants...

I use tetra gun lubricants, but don't think it makes a huge difference what you use for bolt-action guns. For automatic guns where temperature gets higher, than SLip2000 is nice.

I think that is a pretty accurate statement. I have so many different kinds of oil, lubes, grease, etc, I seem to use all or most of them for different applications, and honestly don't think I've ever had a problem with any of them.
