Gunsmithing Lug/Tang Wear Points Good Indicator of Need (or lack of need) for Bedding?

I've been planning on a bedding project on my nice new rifle, and asking questions here and watching a bunch of videos to get a feel for the ways different people do these projects. I was taking my gun apart to tape up the stock, and remembered that in one of the videos I saw, the guy said that he could tell the rifle he was working on probably needed bedding because the wear points (being small) showed that the lug and tang were not making full contact with the stock.

Are wear points a good indicator of the need for bedding? Can they show you do not need bedding? I thought I'd ask before I get started. I've attached a pic of the wear on the lug and tang below. Rifle has about 80 rounds through it (7 Mag).

I don't see anything in the pictures that would confirm your concerns.
That said- you didn't mention anything about the stock.
Material? Pillars?

I would never not bed a wood stock. Too much dimensional change due to environmental factors.

A properly done bedding job will never be detrimental. Improperly done, it will be.

Suggest you shoot it first. If it ain't broke, don't "fix" it.

JMO, YMMV.
