While I do not have a Luna led or a Luna branded elr laser, I do have a Dipol L3 laser ir I picked up a while back. I am suspect that Luna rebrands some of the dipol stuff but it doesn't really matter who's doing what to me in that dept. as long as it works.
I have several led ir, a T20 and a sniper hawg lights with a 38mm and 50mm head iirc being the largest of my selection.
I'm sure others will chime in with their xp but for me the differences in how I utilize them are...
Laser has a smaller signature down range, led depending on size of head can have a pretty good size signature from the glow of the head. (Depending on wavelength) In the past I have had to halo incoming yotes because I swear they have spooked or stopped short when I put the big ole red led glow directly on them.
Laser (the dipol/luna) has a tight beam with virtually no spill, perfect for my clip ons, especially when I am lower to the ground.
Laser is less in weight which is why I prefer it weapon mounted.
The led I use handheld as I trek in, I prefer this mostly so I am not pointing my weapon in multiple directions on my travels.
Led can be focused out and really cover some terrain, it can be a drag sometimes as it can spill over and washout from the near spillage. If your shooting prone it can get messy even focused tight I still get some near washout.
Led, the powerful units at least are bulkier, which means more oz on my weapon which is something I factor in.
Led, my heads at least have a larger signature.
Led are great for static target practice and when I am range timing it with the duals and ir laser sight. I have an old quad rail I attach my led's too, clamp that into a hog saddle and voila, instant ir floodlamp.
I guess it all depends on what the majority of your use will be. For me laser ir for my clip on use, led for my helmet use being closer distances.
Fwiw tho, I am finding the need for a weapon mount ir with the pvs 30 less vs my older gen3 co-mr..I think that is a testament to how righteous the 30 is.
