This item will be used for:

    1. local 3 gun events
    2. hunting (deer and pig)
    3. target shooting out to 800

What I need out of this item:

    1. moa accuracy
    2. the lighter the better (this is where I lean more towards the 16" model)

How much performance would I loose by going with the 16" over the 18" 20".

Does anyone know the wait time for the 18" model??? I tried calling Friday (no answer). I'll take all the info/opinions ya got.

    thanks,

I have the 20" model. And while accuracy out to 1000 yards is excellent out of a semi auto platform, Its kind of long and awkward with a YHM suppressor on the end of it. But I will take accuracy and stealth over saving 2 inches of barrel anyday. BUT, I do have an 18" bolt gun that shoots excellent out to 1000 as well.

Id say for what you want the 18" is the way to go. I just have always had a hard time getting the 16" AR10's to run well. They were not piston guns but still I trust the accuracy and reliability of an 18 or 20" platform.

18" rifle is my vote for your situation you describe.
