LWRC REPR.... can you use other uppers?

I have been looking at getting an LWRC REPR. Question, has anyone used an upper from another manufacture on the REPR lower? I was thinking that I would get a 20" REPR, it would be nice to buy a 16" DPMS (or XYZ brand) upper to go with it instead of being stuck with having to buy a 16" REPR upper.

Real world experience would be great!

Nope, the REPR has an extension coming from the lower up where the charging handle would normally be on any other upper.

Thanks for the info. As a note -- James (???) at LWRC told me via phone that it WAS compatible with other manufacture's uppers.

Humming. It even says on the website that you can't use others makers uppers on the repr lower. That dude steered you wrong.
