I'm having issues with an area 419 m series die in 6br. Specifically cases get stuck while expanding the neck. Is sizes like butter but then when coming out over the expander it gets stuck. It tried 1 shot and and alpha case lube. I've tried different size expanders. I was previously using a Micron Precision die with expander and it did it very little pressure.
Has anyone else experienced this. A friend's m series dasher die is like butter using the exact same process.

When you do get one to run through, have you inspected the neck and is it in spec? Any galling? Donut?
Do you clean any different than your friend?
Have you tried some Imperial Sizing Wax on the expander and can you feel any difference with lube?
See if your expanders are the same version as your friend's and compare how his is set up versus the neck junction.
Also, check to make sure your expander doesn't have any brass stuck on it and clean it up if it does.
Failing all that, give A419 a ring and see what they suggest. Good Luck and in for the report.

Yeah they measure in spec I'm using the die for now. As long as I get a rub up on the mandrel and pull it back through hard and fast it works as it should I just find the pressure required is insane

My experience with the M series 6.5 CM die is similar to yours. It will size Hornady brass no problem, but when I run Lapua brass through it it is fairly hard to get the mandrel back through it. For thicker wall brass it sizes the brass too much so getting the mandrel to go through it smoothly is tough.

I'd suggest taking the mandrel out and size a piece of brass and then measure the neck ID. I'm betting it's sizing it down too far.

It's the reason I now use a SAC die.

Spot on. The inability to control neck tension was a very poor design choice for a high end die and its most likely way undersizing and that’s why it’s hard to pull through

You were right on the money. It's sizing it down 14 thou from fired. 8 thou under finished sized. I guess I'll be moving it on
