M1a jae stock or EBR

I'm sure this has been brought up and I'm sorry if it has I did a search and didn't find anything. I'm looking for you m1a owners with either of these stocks. I have handled the EBR and I liked it but have never handled the jae stock, and I don't know anyone locally that has the jae. Is there a certain benefit from one or the other? Both stocks have the barrel tensioner. Just looking for in field experience from both owners. Looking to turn it into a dmr. Anything that requires precision I'll just use my bolt. Thanks guys!
 
The question should be do you want a stock right now or do you want to wait for 2-3 years for the stock?

JAE has a nice looking stock but good freaking luck finding anything local unless its used. My friend ordered his a little less than 20 months ago and there is still no end in sight.

I plan to go with the EBR simply because its awesome but you can also get one in stock.
 
I had a JAE stock for my M1A, and the thing was rock solid and probably one of the best aftermarket stocks I've ever shot. The problem is that the JAE stock is a precision stock, and not something that would be used in a conventional DMR role. The stock is rigid/non-collapsing, long, bulky and very heavy. It's a great stock for throwing down on a bipod or a rest, but nothing I ever like doing offhand or from an improvised position. The stock was just not designed for that.

For what you're looking for, the EBR is a much more feasible option.
 
well that makes since I didn't realize that the JAE had such a long wait. And as far as weight, bulky and not being able to collapse I think you helped me make my decision. so I think an EBR stock would fit this role. Where's a good place to look for an EBR at a decent price. Thanks
 
One year will be up in Sept for my JAE-100 Gen 3 stock (Super Match with Hart SS barrel) so I hope I am hearing things wrong here. Two year wait is not doable. I need to call Lisa again.
