Man i want that combo for my guerrilla sniper rifle. Ive shot the 700 sps 16 .308 pretty far. Hell me and my shooting partner have taken 5.56 out to 800 getting multiple hits during a leo sniper qual. I have a regular m1a. That shorty just looks badass. And alot more handy in real world shoot something out if a vehicle scenario (who needs hearing right). Looks like a hog popping mother fucker.

bro I have had over a dozen m14's go with the scout, it takes too much work to get the socom accurate proprietary gas system sucks, the scout uses the standard gas system, shim the system upgrade the piston add a SEI gas lock sight and the direct connect SEI vortex or comp and the difference between the 2 is 1/2 an inch, here is a side by side on a couple of ebr set ups

I dont think he is talking about hitting a nickle at 800, can you hit a man sized target absolutely but take my advice and go with a scout, here is a couple of my m14s and with the 2.5x10NF and yes it was a shooter easily reach 800, the m14 is a beast and a great battle rifle

For the price of a scout in an EBR chassis you are getting pretty close to larue, seekins or GAP prices where you can get a 16-18" barreled AR10 that will shoot tight though, better ergonomics too.

The only reason I play the m1a game is california, mine is rebarreled in a mcmillan stock with every mod you can do aside from the hooded front sight and it's still a 1-1.5MOA rifle. Plus it does annoying shit like the weld on the unitized gas cylinder breaking so I had to screw/glue/peen it and every wintertime my project is to tear it all apart and redo all the bedding. AR10 you just shoot the fucker.

again I dont think the OP is asking for a sub MOA rifle or a whole puncher, he mentioned pig gun and cool factor, and a scout runs for about $1200 and a chassis for about $700 no where near gap and larue prices, I'm sure if he wanted a AR10 he would get one, his question was is 800 yards doable and the answer is yes
