Rifle Scopes M2008 in an AICS with a NF 5.5-22x50

So, I did all my measurements and am finding that I according to my measurements I could go with night force medium height rings. However in using the search function, I find people saying they prefer high rings with an AICS due to the higher cheek weld. In my previous experience, which is definitely limited compared to some folks on here, you want the scope as low as possible. Give me your thoughts and insight please. Oh, and again the combo is a M2008 in an AICS 2.0 with a NF 5.5-22x50 and flip up caps ( don't have the caps yet, was going to get either butler crek or the leupold. I know this is a total newbie post and I do apologize, but I find it's better to ask questions when you have a resource to utilize.

issue is the cheek rest bottoms out, should be only with low rings not med, unless you have a big head

NightForce Lows should be fine.I run .885 Ken Farells on my M2008 and AICS and my cheekweld is GTG.If you have a bigger head and chubbier cheeks probably should go 1 inch instead.
