M24 barrel in a mtu inlet

I have a McMillan A5 inletted for a MTU contour barrel, if I dropped a m24 barrel in the stock instead, will it be extremely noticible?

You'll be fine, depending on where the barrel came from they could be one in the same. Some differentiate between MTU and M24 and others don't. Below was taken from Bartlein's website and you can see there's a minor difference so there'd be some extra gap around the M24 barrel, maybe equivalent to a couple business cards.

They are very close, but again as Trigger Monkey mentioned it does depend on the manufacturer. I have used both profiles from different barrel makers and they were off in certain dimensions/taper angles.

You could also reach out to McMillan and ask what their specs are. Just a thought. Hope that helps.
