Re: M24 Clone

19:26 here and the barreled receiver is still too hot to handle. Took it out at 18:45. Bottom metal and bolt are back together though. Getting closer

Well, altogether but.........the damn camera battery's dead. Just a few more minutes.

Nothing extra but it takes approx 4 days to complete one. You'd be standing there for a while. It'd be best to watch one being chambered or a receiver being trued.

Come on now... I'm gunning for Pelosi. Now that is a sweet piece of tail.

On topic. The rifle looks great. I always thought KG was less manly than cerakote and others based on their wide usage amongst the smiths. I am going to rethink that when I get my TRG sprayed. Nice work!

Re: M24 Clone

Where cn a system like that be got, I never saw one of them before and how is it attached. Oh and thanks for the reply.

Re: M24 Clone

1st range report:

I had about 30min of range time today to try some test loads. Left my rear bag at home so I had to use a rolled up tshirt. Rifle still shot well under 1/2moa without a steady rear rest and regardless of what load I used. Honestly, there was no distinguishing in accuracy from load to load. Heading back tomorrow with chronograph and rear bag to pick a velocity.

Re: M24 Clone

100 rounds down so far....Settled on a load: 42.5 grains of Varget, 175gr SMK, CCI BR2, Lapua brass. Gotta get dope on it now. Damn hot down here right now and no shade on the 1K range.
