Answer: Stock, what ever is offered from the factory to start. For the Remingtons that means a Stock Remington Trigger. </div></div>

Is that funny Ha-Ha, or funny EWW?

That seems odd that they (GAP, Army, USMC, FBI) would include all the custom specs and then use a stock Rem trigger. GAPs surgeon build makes no mention of trigger. But I did find listed on the options for their base rifle - Jewell Trigger with Installation & Adjustment - $265

I'm sure that if you asked George, he would tell you that the triggers they use the most are Remington and Jewell. The Remington triggers they use get a bit of a re-work prior to installing them....

But they are factory Remington triggers unlike the trigger you will feel on any factory Remington! I have a George-massaged R700 trigger on one of my rifles and a Jewell HVR at 2.2lbs on another-if it weren't for the skinny Jewell trigger shoe you'd be hard pressed to tell which was which by feel. GAP-tweaked factory triggers are NICE!!!

They have been tuned, and very well at that. In addition, I've done a bit of extensive testing on numerous triggers currently available and most manufacturers truly think they are making triggers that are better or equal to the Old Style Remington and the newer X-Mark Pro. The problem with most aftermarket triggers is they reduce firing pin inertia due to later handoff. The only issue I have with the X-Mark Pro is the MIM trigger shoe, which is purely a personal dislike. The Jewell is probably the most finely designed and made trigger available, but they're not what I would use for a field rifle because of te close tolerances. I use the Timney, but I do a bit of work to them to narrow and re-contour the wide shoe and tune it.
