I just picked up this rifle. It feels great, but I was wondering if anyone makes a M40A3 type stock for it. Its a right handed gun, and I shoot lefty and the bolt hits my left hand when I cock it. I dont much like the normal thumbhole stocks and have only seen RH ones anyways.

Any help would be appreciated.

Your best bet for any sort of aftermarket stock for a savage is either the boyds "tacticool" or modify the original stock. Theres a few places you can get a custom laminate but no A3's

Re: M40A3 stock for Savage 93R17

I know there was a guy on here that made a few custom A5 style stocks for savages, you'd have to do a bit of searching..

www.sharpshootersupply.com offers some rimfire stocks, nothing in an A3 though.

I've heard of a few people getting a praire dog tactical inletted for the rimfire from www.stockadegunstocks.com but when I called last summer they wern't to intrested

You could also do a google search for Tuck's stocks over on rimfirecentral.com I know he was pushing out some customs for the savages too.
