ok im building an M40A3 clone. so far i have a McMillan A-4 Stock, Schneider barrel, scope, and a bipod. what else do i need? and this is my first time building a rifle

You will need an action, scope rings, scope base, trigger, bottom metal, and someone who knows what they are doing to put it together

You are obviously way way way way in over your head. Best bet would be to call one of the gunsmiths and tell them what parts you have, and what you want. Send the parts to them, send a check and wait.

every m40 variant has and is built on a rem 700 s/a. you really need to do some homework on this or just do as deadly says and get a hold of a plumber that can build a spec a3.
