M40a5 mags

Good Morning everyone,
I was told awhile back that the original AI mags initially issued with the A5 were unmarked on the floor plate. Can anyone back this up? I have a few

That’s accurate, though from personal experience I had a mix of unmarked and marked mags issued to me.
