Didn't really know where to put this, but it seemed better here.

In case anyone has a penchant for M40A6's and the M110. The Marines took a few out of the armory this weekend to shoot a local PRS match.

ETA - There was a group of Royal Marines who used them for the competition.

A PWS built A6 in private hands.

P.S. They were shot by a team from the Royal Marines. Nothing like being partially kitted up for a competition when it's 95 degrees with 97% humidity and bugs galore due to the late day t-storms all week. We were covered in 40% Deet, the bugs and horseflies just laughed it off and took blood at every chance. :)

Pics from this weekend of an M40A6 (G-prefix). Was told the M40A6s and Mk 13 Mod 7s "are going away next year, to be replaced with the Barrett (Mk 22) rifle during FY22-23." So it will soon be the same multi-caliber platform for US Army and USMC snipers in the near future (not sure about optics).
...Was also told the USMC M110s were sticking around a while longer due to their semi-auto capability (see last 2 pics)
