Gunsmithing M5 footprint???

What other bottom metal has the same or a bit larger foot print than the M5? Will HS work? thanks guys.

HS will NOT fill the gap, it is smaller. Maybe the CDI or Surgeon.

Why dont you want to go with the M5?

Its not that I dont I was just going to buy the HS on the for sale section. Im on a budget the wife says.

go ahead and pay for the badger unit, its worth it CDI is great also but since your already cut for the badger then you should prolly stick with that for the best fit.

The Surgeon is pretty close to the M5's dimensions.

Bigger than the M5? Or would there be gaps. Fuk it im just going to get the Badger. Its what i really want just tight with money thats all. Thanks

The mag box area of the surgeon is square, the M5 is tapered, so it's a bit larger there.

I think the M5 is a hair longer, but it's negligible and bedding material easily closes the gap.

I swapped two MCM stocks over to the Surgeon and they look great.
