Been reading on the 'hide for years, but have been pretty quiet for the most part.
I am contemplating caliber selection for a new MA-TEN build. Rifle will be used largely for long distance coyotes and a couple of upcoming wolf hunts, with a solid amount of mid-long range target shooting (500-1000 yds).
I have shot .243 for years and happy with the performance, but looking for a little bit better barrel life. I would like to push 105 berger hybrids, allthough not opposed to reaching up to the 140 grain level.
Taking a hard look at the 6mm SLR, possibly a 260, or even a 7-08. I am leaning towards the lighter side, but curious to see if anyone has run the MA-TEN on the 6mm-SLR. If so, I am very curious to see and hear of the results they are getting.
I am open to a bit of work for reloading, however turning necks can get old very quick....
