i have been looking for some time now for a psl without any luck, then today a stumble on this, it is already upgraded with a tapco trigger and i heard that the vepr rifles are way more accurate than the psl rifles

The VEPRs are all around better rifles than most of the crap PSL's I see floating around for absurd prices these days...especially the ones the monkeys at CAI (Century) cobbled together.

I'm not personally wild about the square-back, M1 Arsenal 54R just because of the stupid furniture option they went with, but they are of very good quality, reliability (as you'd expect) and accuracy compared to other like AK variants with a quality selection of ammo and a decent shooter thanks to a quality barrel and FCG.

The acutal Molot VEPRs are some of the best I have seen/used and they can be had in a ton of different configurations in 54R. See here: MOLOT USA Firearms, Ltd. Ironwood Designs is also making Dravunov-styled furniture for the Molot slant-back receivers that are absolutely GORGEOUS if that's the direction you are headed. ;)

I would also try to get one of the Veprs that have the front sight on the barrel instead of on the gas block. If you are going to use the irons it will give you a longer sight radius. All the furniture they installed may not be your cup of tea, so I would get one that has the unfinished furniture like what Centerfire has and configure it the way you want. You can probably get it for less than what Mach I wants for theirs. The handguards are from SGM tactical and there are all sorts of butt stock options.

I prefer this setup from Atlantic, looks much better and has the front sight at the end of the barrel.
