Made this out of an old saw blade. I am sure this has been tried before but I thought this would work well at 150 plus.

At one time I was using saw blades out to 100 yards and they lasted pretty good. Eventually they started to cup, but still they worked. You can always hang another old blade.

I just use 1/4 & 3/8" steel. They both work good from 50 on out. Just don't forget & try to shoot something bigger at them. A 22mag will put a hole in 1/4" at 50 yds!

Then the .22 mag will save time and drill bits!

Shot this at 250 this morning, and another one like it at 200 and it is holding up about as I expected. I think this will work and be a good way to recycle old blades.

Great idea!

Re: made some rimfire steel

Good thinking, and it looks like it's holding up well enough to have some fun with. Can't complain if the blades would have gone to the trash anyway. If it's getting too banged up, it should give you another reason to stretch the range out a bit more
