Mag questions

I have a build that is almost finished at GAP and was looking through the spec sheet. I had specified Alpha Type 2 mags. I don't know the ins and out of the mag cross compatibility, what other mags will work with it?

The bottom metal will dictate mag compatibility, but the Alpha mags are AI-pattern, so any AICS (5- or 10-round mag) will also work but will be longer than the Alpha because the Alpha are double-stack, single feed mags while the AI mags are single stack, single feed.

The Type 2 alpha mags are built without a spacer plate so they generally will accommodate a slightly longer COAL when feeding from the mag than the comparable AI mags.

Thanks. That was what I was thinking but wanted to double check. I was most concerned with the width being different.
